Pneumatic tyres

Our pneumatic tyres are real masters of adaptation, because even highly uneven flooring won't put a damper on their performance. With very good shock absorbers and low rolling resistance, they are ideally suited for transporting heavy goods on poor substrates. Oh yes – our pneumatic tyres won't mark your floors either.

    Pneumatic tyres for convenient transport

You came up with an invention that nobody can use? Just think of Sir Robert William Thomson. When he invented the pneumatic tyre in 1845, nobody knew what to do with it. Today pneumatic wheels are everywhere, a large version on cars or bicycles and as small versions on transport trolleys etc. You can also purchase pneumatic wheels in various designs from kaiserkraft. We'll tell you what distinguishes this invention right here.

What makes pneumatic tyres so special?

Quite simply: the air. Little has changed about that since Robert William Thomson. However, a little bit has changed as well. Today, air is no longer found in inflated animal intestines, but in rubber hoses, for example. In addition, pneumatic wheels from kaiserkraft have stable steel rims.

When are pneumatic tyres the ideal choice?

Pneumatic tyres pay off especially in the following moments:

    • When transporting heavy loads

    • Outdoors

    • For uneven floors

    • For obstacles such as thresholds or edges

In all these situations, you benefit from the air in the tyre or wheel and low rolling resistance. The same applies to the transport of sensitive loads. After all, pneumatic tyres provide better damping. This is particularly important when your employees transport sensitive goods with sack trucks or platform trucks over gravel roads.

What should you pay attention to when making your choice?

The air is the one thing they have in common. Apart from that, pneumatic wheels differ in a number of regards. This starts with size and load-bearing capacity. Whereby the following applies: the larger the wheel diameter, the lower the rolling resistance. On poor ground conditions, you have a clear advantage with large wheels. Studded profiles also ensure a good grip. Grooved profiles run straight ahead more smoothly, and pick up less dirt.

Also keep in mind that you cannot any pneumatic tyre to any truck. Therefore, pay attention to the type of mounting.

What are the differences between different rims?

We use high-quality steel rims. These are more stable and less sensitive than plastic rims. You have the choice of the type of wheel or castor – swivel or fixed castor. The same applies to the wheel bearing. Ball bearings are particularly high-quality, roller bearings an inexpensive alternative.

What should you pay attention to during operation?

Air is a fleeting matter. You should, therefore, check the air pressure of your tyres or wheels regularly. Because when it decreases, so do the load-bearing capacity and convenience features.

Of course, you can also purchase wheels and castors without air in our shop, for example ones made of polyurethane or solid rubber. And because rollers are only half the battle, we are happy to supply you with the right platform trolleys. Further information can be found, for example, in our purchasing guide to wheels and castors. Or you can ask us personally.
