Expanded metal filter as a spark arrestor for FEX extraction systems

The expanded metal filter was developed specifically for use in FEX extraction systems and serves as a reliable spark arrestor in applications involving sparks. It reduces the risk of glowing particles or sparks entering downstream filter stages, thus actively contributing to increasing operational safety.

As an additional protective stage, the expanded metal filter helps to prevent filter fires and is particularly suitable for welding processes as well as other applications with flying sparks. The filter is used directly in the storage filter and can be easily integrated into existing filter systems.

Thanks to its robust model, the expanded metal filter is designed for continuous industrial use and represents an important component of the W3 model of extraction systems. It protects the downstream filter elements from damage and contributes to a longer service life of the entire filter system.
