Outdoor Locker battery charging cabinet – LOXXER HxWxD 2150 x 460 x 1050 mm

The LOXXER Outdoor Locker is designed for the safe storage and charging of lithium-ion batteries outdoors, especially for batteries used in e-bikes, e-scooters and similar mobility devices. By charging the batteries outside the workplace or building, potential risks associated with lithium-ion batteries are physically separated from indoor areas. The locker is ideal for installation near bicycle shelters, scooter parking areas or mobility hubs at the workplace, offering employees and users safe and clear access for charging.

With four individual charging compartments, a robust, weatherproof construction and integrated charging sockets, the Outdoor Locker offers a reliable solution for the safe charging of batteries for personal mobility devices in shared outdoor areas.

Construction for outdoor use:
The locker is specially designed for permanent outdoor installation. The construction is made of zinc plated steel with a UV-resistant powder coating, making it resistant to moisture, dust and corrosion. Weatherproof ventilation openings ensure air circulation while protecting the interior of the locker from rain and environmental influences.
The locker also features double-walled doors, which provide additional protection against the elements and increase outdoor durability.

Integrated charging function:
The Outdoor Locker has four individual charging compartments designed for the safe storage and charging of lithium-ion batteries.
Dimensions of the compartment HxWxD: 369 x 400 x 600 mm, each compartment is equipped with:
– Two 230 V Schuko sockets (16 A) for charging the batteries, maximum battery capacity per locker: 3,68 kWh at 230 V
– Perforated shelves that ensure good air circulation around the batteries
– Hooks for accessories, for example to store helmets
This equipment allows multiple users to charge and store their batteries safely and independently of each other.

Safety and locking:
Each locker is equipped with high-quality electronic PIN-code locking systems, enabling secure access for individual users.
The locker doors also feature integrated earthing cables that provide electrical earthing during operation and offer additional safety when charging batteries.
A separate service compartment in the lower section of the locker allows access for electrical installation and maintenance. The mains connection to the domestic junction box is to be provided on site.

User comfort and installation:
The Outdoor Locker is designed for practical use in shared outdoor areas.
An integrated canopy protects users from rain while they access the lockers. The locker is also prepared for anchoring to a concrete plinth, ensuring a stable installation and preventing shifting or tipping over. Thanks to its slim design, the locker can be easily set up near bicycle parking areas, mobility hubs or charging zones at the workplace.

For additional protection, the locker can be equipped with an optional aerosol extinguishing system.
When activated during a confirmed alarm, the fire suppression system releases a dry aerosol inside the locker within 1 – 2 seconds. The aerosol interrupts the chemical combustion process at molecular level and helps to bring lithium-ion battery fires under control in less than 30 seconds. The aerosol distributes itself across all compartments of the locker, offering an extra level of safety in addition to detection, alarm triggering and fire containment.
