Product description
- Completely biodegradable in accordance with UNI EN ISO 14855-2
- Protects shipped and stored goods from moisture
- High tear resistance and absorption capacity
The environmentally friendly alternative to conventional moisture protection: desiccant bags made of biodegradable fleece! For the safe dispatch and storage of electronics, foodstuffs, medical or optical equipment. The dustproof desiccant bags protect shipped and stored goods from moisture for the long term. They absorb moisture from the air inside the packaging, and prevent corrosion from damaging sensitive products. Biodegradable fleece protects the environment – and is characterised by its high tear resistance. The natural clay inside the bags has a particularly good absorption capacity. Please be sure to use at least 200 µm LDPE film or aluminium composite film for packing your goods to ensure they are airtight.
The bentonite contained in the desiccant bags is a mineral clay that is formed by the weathering of volcanic ash. It is a porous, granular substance with an extremely large inner surface area. This large surface area gives bentonite its pronounced ability to swell. Due to the negatively charged surface, bentonite has an unusually high adsorption capacity for pollutants. The product is biodegradable or compostable – however cannot be industrially composted.

Biodegradable / natural product
Biodegradable is used to refer to a material or product that can be broken down into its natural components by biological processes under the right conditions, without causing any harm to the environment. Biodegradable materials are usually of organic origin and can be decomposed by microorganisms, such as bacteria or fungi. Biodegradable materials may also be referred to as ecodegradable materials.
