The first environmentally friendly alternative to polystyrene: send food items, refrigerated and frozen products sustainably, efficiently and reliably with this ecological insulated box. Nature's own power insulation! Think of the environment and replace conventional polystyrene boxes with a product made of renewable raw materials. The insulation provided by our terra – Landbox^® thermo box made of straw is in no way inferior to polystyrene, and is also a real visual highlight. In combination with cold packs or dry ice, food items, reagents, frozen goods and other products that are sensitive to temperature can be reliably shipped. You can also create different temperature ranges and send unrefrigerated, chilled (0 to –7 °C) and frozen items. For example, by using an additional straw panel, two separate areas with different temperature ranges can be created within one package – and be sent together as one package or in the same consignment. Due to the modular design of the thermo box, up to three times as many boxes fit on one pallet compared to assembled polystyrene boxes. No air is transported and the pallet dimensions are optimally exploited – resulting in transport cost savings as well.
The Landbox^® is highly effective and ecological at the same time: the pure and cleaned straw containing no additives is sourced from unused stocks of raw materials for regional agriculture and can be fully composted. Only 2% of the primary energy demand of polystyrene production is required to ensure production is highly efficient and carbon neutral.
